Dentist: perform a full range of dental services involving preventive care, nutritional counseling, routine restorative treatments and monitoring tooth development; diagnose and treat dental diseases, injuries and oral issues; review x-rays and diagnostic test results; assess a patient’s unique needs; develop a treatment plan and provide instruction; perform procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues; manage and guide the support team, including dental assistants; prescribe medications as required and implement behavior management methods; inform patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and proactive steps; document patient data and treatment plan; ensure the safe of confidential storage of health care data; answer questions and resolve patient issues; supervise a dental hygienist; make referrals to specialists as needed; consult with colleagues and medical professionals; adhere to governmental regulations, including dental board rules, HIPPA and OHSA regulations; and keep abreast of changes in the industry and field. An Indiana Dental License and 12 months of experience as any type of dentist are required. A Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) is required. Mon-Fri; 40 hours/wk.
